Rodolfo Rivera is Chief International Counsel at Fidelity National Financial (FNF), a Fortune 500 company and a leading global title and mortgage services provider. For over 19 years, he has led FNF’s international legal operations in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and India, structuring complex transactions, managing regulatory risks, and spearheading the company’s legal strategy in emerging markets. His experience combines the rigor of a global corporation with a deep understanding of the legal and cultural environments of the Latin American region.
In academia, Rodolfo serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, one of the most prestigious law schools in the United States, where he teaches courses in International Business Transactions, Negotiation and Dispute Resolution, and Criminal Law. He is also a certified arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and an accredited mediator, enabling him to offer practical and impartial perspectives on conflict resolution in the international corporate arena.
His professional leadership is equally distinguished: he served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), an organization with over 45,000 members worldwide, and chaired its International Legal Affairs Committee and Real Estate Committee. He also chaired the International Business Advisory Board at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and has contributed to the nonprofit organization Communities in Schools. His professional excellence has been recognized with the GC Power List: US Latin America Specialists 2019 and the Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished rating for Legal Competence and Ethical Standards 2020.
Beyond titles and achievements, what drives Rodolfo is a deep conviction: that legal knowledge, when communicated with clarity and passion, becomes a transformative tool for Latin American leaders. Through his podcast, Conversations with Rudy Rivera, available on YouTube and Spotify, and as an international speaker, Rodolfo shares lessons from decades at the forefront of global corporate law, with the purpose of empowering Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs, executives, and lawyers to grow with integrity on the world stage.
Rodolfo Rivera advises executives, companies, and organizations seeking to expand into international markets, especially in Latin America, with the confidence that their operations meet the highest legal and ethical standards. Throughout his career, he has helped corporations navigate the complexities of international law, prevent exposure under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and structure rigorous due diligence processes outside the United States. His experience in litigation, arbitration, and negotiation allows him to anticipate risks before they become crises, reducing legal exposure and protecting organizational reputation. The result: stronger strategic decisions, better protected international expansions, and business leaders who act with greater confidence in complex multicultural and regulatory environments.
